As you've seen, I like to frequent the famers' market in the spring & summer months. But sometimes, when I get there, I'm a bit overwhelmed by it all. What should I get? What do you do with it? So this morning, I've committed to something I've been thinking about for a few years now.
I bought a CSA share! I am beyond excited & can't wait to see what's in my box every week. I think having something given to me to use will be helpful. It will definitely pull me out of my comfort zone as far as meal prep.
This spring you can look forward to a weekly post of 'what's in the box?'. How fun!
Program Length
The program will last 21 weeks. Beginning in May and ending in September.
Each week, your Single Share will include:
One pound of Immunity Builder Salad Mix (an $11.99 value) and $15.00 worth of produce, including a special and seasonal organic fruit of the week.
Members will also have priority for purchasing eggs, herbs, and other limited items.
The list of the items the 2010 boxes included was a very long one. But I think the value of this outweighs the price. Not only the monetary value, but the health aspects of organic & pesticide free produce & support of the farmers who farm that way.
If anyone has participated in a CSA, I would love to hear about your experience!
