My New Favorites

I love food, but I also love bags! And shoes. Bags probably more since all summer I live in flip flops. But I still love a cute pair. So here are some of  my recent favorite things:

1.  Since I have discovered Pixel of Ink on Facebook, I've downloaded over 100 free books to my Kindle! Of all different genres, too. Since they're free I can branch out from by comfort zone a bit. I realized I downloaded quite a few dystopian novels. I assume its because I LOVED the Hunger Games series! Have you seen the movie yet? I saw it with D & I really liked it. The theater was packed & you could have heard a pin drop-even the kids.

2. Dooney & Bourke is making my life prettier & easier! I recently acquired these 2 nylon beauties. This first one seems to be selling out fast! Must be because it clearly screams summer!

This adorable little bag is perfect for going out for errands or for the night. The lining is hot pink so everything is easy to find.

3.  I also had to get this tote because it coordinates perfectly with the Dooney tote! Schlepping back & forth to the Lake, there's always a ton of crap to carry, so why not have a cute matching bag! I think my matching thing is a leftover from the 80's by the way. The colors & gold hardware on these two bags are a perfect match & I couldn't be giddier!

4.  And since I was on a Lilly kick, I may have bought some perfume. Its called Beachy, & is a light, fun scent. I usually don't wear perfumes since they are seriously bad for you, but a spritz every once in a while is ok. So this bottle should last well into my 70's.

5.  I was buying D shoes & saw these & was oddly in lust with them. I don't know why, they're almost ugly, but in a cute way. Like a Pug. They are adorable on!

6.  Phone Wallet Wristlet & Crossbody. Are you starting to see the Turquoise trend? I got a great necklace with big turquoise beads & ever since I am loving accents of turquoise everywhere! Hence, the color I chose for my newest lifesaver.

So the (long) story behind my obsession with these things is this. I never really cared for Vera Bradley, but my daughter likes it, so I've bought her some items. While shopping for her, I found this fabulous wristlet that's a wallet inside & holds your phone. After a little modifying with their lanyard, I turned it into a crossbody & I haven't looked back. I toss that into my tote & when I want to carry the bare minimum, I can. It was so great I bought another pattern for fall/winter. But when spring came early, I took out my summer pattern & found it faded & looking kind of sad & worn. Now I know I am hard on my belongings, but it really should hold up better & last more than a year! Hence, my newest find. It wasn't easy finding the wristlet/crossbody with enough card slots, but this is it!

I hope you're finding new fun things to make your spring & summer better too!
