Well, I'm not sure what it says about me that I can still be duped by pretty much the exact same scheme! But I'm so glad I can.
Saturday night I was going to see the parents of the School of Rock kids band perform at my friend's bar, the Phantasy. My sister's coworker plays, so we were going to support him.
As the story goes, I had to go pick up my sister since her car 'broke down'. Right by the lake. Again. And just like 11 years ago, I bitched the whole entire time while walking out the door with just my keys & phone.
I just happened to be wearing a dress. Again. That worked out well. Brian was waiting with the table & chairs & wine & food just like last time.
He recreated our engagement for me for our 10 year anniversary.
He even got the same meal.
Except they made special for me my chicken genovese with tilapia.
If you've never been to Stino da Napoli, you need to get there. The gnocchi is the best I've ever had-it melts in your mouth. Amazing!
We sat overlooking the spot where our engagement took place while we ate.
And saw our first real live hummingbird.
And the final touch-our "you may kiss the bride' moment caught on film.
Brian had it blown up & framed!
So he pulled it off again, with a little help from friends & family.
I can't help but shamelessly gush-all these years and we are still happy.
We are so very lucky!
