The Good, the Bad & the Ugly

The Good:
~So D had some big Science Olympiad thing all day last Saturday, he left at 6 AM. I wasn't the smart kid in school, so I have no idea what that even is. (parents aren't invited). He got home and was telling me all about the food choices they had for the kids for lunch.
Choices:
banana OR apple OR bag of chips
beef hot dog OR ham sandwich  OR veggie wrap
spinach salad-yes or no
pop OR water
Wanna know what my boy picked? That's right-the banana, veggie wrap, salad & water. YES! He said he was thinking of me while he was eating. I may cry! Of course then he said he had Reese's cups for breakfast, but I'm gonna pretend I didn't hear that part. Then he started to talk to me about all sorts of science stuff. I'm not gonna lie-my eyes glazed over. Honestly, its like he's speaking a different language.

~Stewie's vet appointment went well too. He hurt his back but will be fine. Oh and he's really fat! He needs to lose like 6 pounds. Well, don't we all.

~After you read all about the bad, you will see why we had no choice but to get Presto sandwiches for dinner. I dream about their Spicy Tomato Soup. I also got the pesto mozzarella panini. Oh my. Their Veg Head was my usual, but this is my latest find.

BabyGirl got a special sandwich-smoked salmon. Mmmm.

Brian & the boys all get the same thing every time, The Irish-some sort of Corned Beef concoction.

The Bad:
Saturday afternoon, we ended up in the Emergency Room with BabyGirl. We thought she broke her nose, but its just badly bruised & swollen. I must say, we were in & out in 45 minutes. I love the pediatric ER! Anyway, she was 'snowboarding' & fell face (nose) first onto a tree root-OUCH!

She had to have stitches in her chin in 2009 & I got her ears pierced for that. So I asked her what we should pierce this time. I voted for the nose. She's not convinced. I'm kidding, by the way.

The Ugly:
That would be the weather outside. It is not pretty out there! Today was especially bitter cold.

So we took BabyGirl & Bubba to the indoor pool for a little mid-winter fun on Sunday. 84 degrees of happiness!

Monday, Brian & I were both off & had a great time on our trip to Whole Foods. I really hope they get one closer to me very soon-its quite a trek! We had lunch there before shopping. I had a vegan cheesesteak, squash soup & some wine. It was a great lunch and really cut down on the bill since we were both stuffed.

I'm hoping this weekend is not quite as eventful. Happy Friday-have a great weekend!
