Today we received D's schedule in the mail. He's very excited for his classes. Honors calculus & chemistry. I'm SO proud of him! I always say he was switched at the hospital.
Anyway, upon receipt of said schedule, I realized soon I'll be inundated with more school info., medical emergency forms, sports sign-ups, etc. Next thing you know, it'll be the first day of school! How did that happen? Sigh-it gets me every single year. At the beginning of summer, I made a wish list of things I wanted to include in my summer. I have to admit, looking back, its not going that well. But I have almost a month left to fix that.
I also received today in my inbox the Cool Mom Picks Back to School Shopping Guide. This list is great. They have really cool things. Such as this microscope necklace for a mere $12.
And this adorable monster change purse!
Remember I got a jump start on my shopping by buying their backpacks for a great deal at Costco. They're using the same lunchboxes as last year. I also participate in the school fundraiser by buying their boxed school supplies at the end of every year for the next. Its not nearly as fun as going shopping for all the stuff, but they get a lot of cool extras that they really like. And their supplies are ready & waiting for them when they get there for the first day. Don't worry I have plenty of 'fun' replenishing their supplies throughout the year. So not to be smug, but yeah, I'm done.
