Lunch & a show

When I ate meat, my favorite sandwich was turkey with lettuce, tomato & mayo. So yesterday I was looking for cheese and as we talked about before, the fake meat is in the cheese area.  I spotted this Yves deli turkey lunch 'meat'.

And until just this moment, I had no idea 1 slice had only 25 calories! Awesome. Anyway, I opened my new loaf of Oatmeal bread and slathered it with the gold standard of mayo-Hellman's. I really like Vegenaise, but Giant Eagle doesn't carry it. So, Hellman's it was.
Topped with sharp cheddar & farm stand tomato & salt. Don't worry I put mayo on the other slice, too.
The sandwich was really good! I tasted the 'meat' by itself and it wasn't all that great, but combined with the other sandwich ingredients, it was perfect.

I had a La Croix with my sandwich and was going to have a yogurt, but I was full. Those are the 3-in-1 meals by Stonyfield. They're really good. BabyGirl doesn't like them, so at least I know I can actually have some! Yes, I know they're for babies, but they're a perfect little snack!

Now, as I learned at Veggie Fest, I shouldn't eat too much processed soy, but one slice of the faux meat occasionally will be fine, I'm sure.

This afternoon I got to take in a performance by the Summer Campers. Bubba had a drum solo & BabyGirl had a little lipsync routine with her group. It was very cute!

Not bad for a Tuesday I have to say. Hope yours is going as well!
