What time is it?

Holy cow-its good to be home! I feel like somebody beat me with a stick, or what I imagine that would feel like. I am sore head to toe.

Now, before we begin, I'm gonna give you the following warnings:
1. There is only one picture of food in total. If you want food right now, sorry, you will have to come back when I am a functioning human again.
2. There is also no Menu Plan Monday this week. I didn't walk thru the door until after 4 today, so I got nothin'.
3. In some of the pictures, I may be drunk.
4. I am the worst packer ever-this isn't really a warning, more of a general observance. I didn't pack a watch (or a credit card or real shoes or more than one pair of pants) and I asked my sister for two days repeatedly-"what time is it?" Annoying, I know. And she texted me after dropping her off that her watch is now broken. I obviously used it too much!

Ready? Here we go. My sister and I went to Columbus for the biggest rock show in the country-38 bands!

As soon as I heard the promo on the radio back in February, I knew we had to go! This year is the 4th & I'm sad that we missed the first 3! But we had so much fun-we'll be going back next year, I'm sure!

I love all sorts of music-Manilow to Metallica-but I really am a hard rock kind of gal. Its my favorite and I love the energy. Anyway...

Saturday
I went to pick my sister up Saturday about 12. I had to see her new puppy, Bella. How cute is she?!
We hit the road & about 2 hours later we got to our hotel downtown. Not bad. Next year, we will be closer to the actual stadium so that the cab rides aren't $20 each way!
From our room:
Of course I'm talking
We really had no idea what to expect. I thought it would be muddy mess, but they had a floor! I guess they need their soccer grass not the be totally destroyed by the likes of us rowdy concert goers!
This is Colin. Sometimes we pick up people along the way. This one needed a lighter, so during a lull, we all hung out for awhile. He drove from Connecticut for this! He left us to crowd surf.
It was pretty hot out. We got there at about 3 and were a little relieved when the sun went down. We ate an $8.00 personal pizza & a soft pretzel. I had some PURE bars I brought too. That would be the extent of food until midnight. Drinks were $8 also. I'm not gonna lie, if I had to choose, I would choose the booze. And I did. Repeatedly.

Moving on. This was at 4 pm!
This guy woke up to some lady dancing over him-in a dress. It was really funny!
6:30 pm

Getting ready for Rise Against
And I thought I made a bad shoe choice! Those are mine-upper left by the way.
Now, let's talk about being in the crowd at a show where crowd surfing & mosh pits are happening. As a girl, you need to make sure you are surrounded by men. Preferably large men that are not standing with their girlfriends. Why can't there be other women? Girls are nasty, my friends. You know it, I know it, the whole world knows it. These girls are not gonna be happy if you are counting on their men to protect you from the 180 pound guy above your head. And protection you will need. Have you ever been underneath a crowd surfer? Its scary-they could fall down on you at any second if you can't send them along their way. And if you are a girl-crowd surfing is always a bad idea. You usually end up half naked and groped. Worth it? I don't think so. Next-mosh pits. If you're not a guy, stay the F back! That's all.
In conclusion, I would like to say we were very lucky Saturday to find groups of guys multiple times to protect us. Unfortunately my feet got stepped on a lot in my flip flops. No one can protect me from my own stupidity apparently.
See that glass in her hand-that would be her margarita she dumped on my head. She held it up so it wouldn't spill. Uh huh. Thanks.

This is the end of pics from Saturday. It got dark & we rocked our faces off. Godsmack was AWESOME!

See you tomorrow for Sunday's recap! I hope your weekend was just as fun!
