I can sew, but not well. I took Home Ec & can sew something back together or sew on a button. BabyGirl taught herself to sew in about 2 minutes & does a much better job! kids.
I, myself, prefer fabric glue. Its quicker & looks neater-well when I sew anyway.
The pillows at the Lake are just ones that came with our various couches. So, they are actually kind of ugly which doesn't make me happy. The Lake is a happy place & should have pretty pillows! I was cleaning out the linen closet & found a brand new shower curtain in there & the light bulb came on!
Its a little wrinkled, but much prettier, right?
I didn't measure anything. I laid the shower curtain out & laid the pillow on top, folded it over & cut a little bit larger than the pillow. I laid the piece out upside down & smoothed it out.
Then I glued 3 of the sides together. It needs to dry for 2-6 hours, so I just left it overnight.
In the morning, I turned the fabric right side out, stuffed in my pillow, and glued the opening nice & neatly together. I used as many 'finished' sides of the shower curtain as possible to make it look neater. covered 2 pillows so far & think I may even be able to cover one more & make a bolster pillow. But we shall see. If I do that one, I'll definitely post it.
Another I Did It project down!
