It looks a little like Christmas threw up in my house. There’s stuff everywhere & I'm not even done yet! I still have the downstairs to decorate. Its like decorating 2 different houses, which may sound fun, but the fun is usually done after 1!
(This is when the boxes were still packed)
Friday night, I put the kids to work building our gingerbread house village. Its not my thing-I am really not very good at it. BabyGirl finished decorating mine-after a few wall cave-ins.
Saturday afternoon, Brian got the kids all bundled up & went in search of our tree. We got it all set up & put the lights on & just the bulbs and let if 'fall' until last night. There was a Harry Potter marathon on Sunday, so that's pretty much how we spent our day-under blankets on the couch.
The kids all get a new ornament every year. When they have homes of their own, they may take all of theirs for their own tree, just like I did. Its really fun to look back at all of mine!
We have regular ball ornaments too, but the special ornaments are the best of course. I usually buy a family one too, otherwise, when they leave our tree will be awfully empty!
BabyGirl collects snowglobes. This year she wanted to put them out for Santa.
Our finished tree! The kids are happy with it, so so am I.
On to the basement...
