In case you don't live here, today was the dreaded wind/storm/tornado warning!
So I bolted out of work, telling my 'office gal' to hurry & leave & work from home to ensure her safety!
I ran into the grocery store since I slacked on grocery shopping & had no food. I ran around the store like a maniac fulfilling my list & did the self checkout-which by the way, is not faster when you're buying wine! What? Its a storm, I may need a glass to calm my nerves.
I packed up my bags & ran for the exit. My store has big glass windows in front. Bad news-it was a downpour. Well, its not getting any better-so I ran into the parking lot & immediately had a shoe full of water. Then my pant legs were drenched-which sucks when you're wearing wide leg trousers-they whip around your ankles-its gross.
I packed up my car & jumped in for the drive home. I could barely see through my rain soaked glasses. When I got home I realized I needed to bring all the bags in myself. So I grabbed them all up & ran to the door. By the time I got in the house, I was completely dripping wet & my hair was plastered to my head. So I changed into jammies & contemplated a glass of wine. It was 3 pm, so I decided to at least hold off till 5. I got all the groceries put away & sat down at my desk to do some work.
As I looked outside & saw the rain coming to an end, I thought to myself, 'well, of course'. Some storm. If you could see me, I am rolling my eyes!
Anyway, on to dinner. Tonight, I had it on the table in 10 minutes. I'm not really sure that's a good thing, but here it is!
I've never made sauce in the microwave before. Its amazingly fast!
Low fat provolone.
Vegetarian Chick'n Parm sandwiches with lemon garlic green beans. I started dinner at 6:25 & we ate at 6:35.
Everyone was done in about 2 minutes flat and the Table Topic question didn't extend it by much. Tonight's question- Have you ever been teased in school? Brian & I both answered a resounding yes & told stories & the kids all said no. Which is pretty great, I think!
Have a great night!
