Do you buy food items because they match your decor? Apparently, I do. Whilst strolling the aisles of Target, I spotted the Halloween section being assembled. I perused what little they had out & came across fall colored M&Ms. Score! M&Ms are good no matter what (I didn't see the pretzel ones, but I'm waiting patiently) but if they match my decorating I have to get them. I restrained myself and bought only one bag.
I tore them open when I got home only to find I had no vessel. Do you own a candy bowl? I don't. Why? I'm not 80 years old, that's why. If I offended you, sorry, but really, you own a real candy bowl? Good for you.
Anyway, I needed to get these on display asap, never mind no other decorating has been started yet. I could have just put them in a bowl, but then they might get knocked over, the dog might get them or the real problem-the kids will inhale them in minutes. So I did what I always do. I grabbed a cute little jar, dumped 'em in and called it done. At least with a lid, you gotta work a little to get at them.
I think I need more. One jar's not really doin' it for me. Right now its just hanging out on the mantel waiting for its permanent home.
I also spotted the Halloween ones with a green that seems to match my kitchen. I am so not above sitting down and separating colors to decorate. I think I may have a problem. But then again, I bet people thought Martha was nuts too. Now who's laughing.
