Yesterday was zoo & a movie-this is the movie part!
Crocker Park has a big blow up screen on which they show kids' movies every Thursday night in the summers. Last night was the last one so we had to go. We didn't get home until 11:30-that's why I'm late posting.
We laid out blankets & beach chairs and had a little picnic on the grass. It was really fun.
We are picnic people. We stopped at Trader Joe's to pick up additional supplies. That pink tub on the right is smoked salmon pate-I didn't even know it existed. Its not bad. I have a whole tub left, maybe I can mix it into scrambled eggs. I need to figure out something to do with it. We had it on mini toasts. $.49 a package-can't beat that price with a stick. Those brushcettes on the left there are from Costco. That meat looking thing in the middle is some sort of meat pate with aspic. What's aspic? As Sue told us, meat jello. Ewwww.
These aren't half bad either.
They showed Disney Earth
. I found it pretty amusing that my friend was so very upset when an animal would be killed by another for food. I NEVER preach to anyone about their food choices. But I could not pass up the chance to point out, "You know you probably ate about 4 different animals in that pate you're eating." It was very funny & she had no response. Well, I thought it was funny. If you know me at all, I'm pretty sarcastic most of the time, so its all in good fun!
Today I'll be unloading boxes from the basement into the upstairs kitchen-very exciting! Hope you have a great day!
