Friday night my BIL & SIL came over & kept me up very late. Obviously, I slept in. I didn't have anything going on anyway. I did want to maybe go to the farmers market, but I clearly did not make it. I lounged in a lawn chair for a bit reading gossip rags and soaking in the sun. I got up to harvest my onions. Look at all of them!
Brian took the boys for haircuts. Bubba finally got his 'faux'hawk.
Later, Stewie got in on the action as well.
BabyGirl wants pink hair. sigh.
While the boys were gone, I made my 'Immunity Builder' pizza. I had a pizza shell leftover, along with some sauce & cheese I reserved for just this.
It was more delicious than I could imagine!
While I wasn't looking, someone got into my office garbage, but I couldn't be sure who it was.
Later that night our friend came over to watch a movie. Bubba took this picture from the deck.
Since you can't watch a movie without snacks-we ran to the store to get everything to make nachos!
I made guacamole & cilantro lime cream with fat free Greek yogurt.
Loading up my plate.
As far as I'm concerned, there are no better chips than these. They are light and don't make you feel gross, even after my giant plate smothered with cheese.
Sunday morning I came out to drizzling rain, gray skies & a Monopoly battle. At least its 75 degrees instead of 90!
I procrastinated long enough to realize that I wouldn't be making it to the farmers market due to the rain. Rain is perfect reading weather, so I freshened up my coffee & picked a new book to read. I just finished A Friend of the Family
. It was kind of awful. So I decided to go in a completely different direction and start See You in a Hundred Years: Discover One Young Family's Search for a Simpler Life . . . Four Seasons of Living in the Year 1900
. The books start off talking about snakes-which I hate! When I was young, we used to go to Tennessee to visit my dad's family. I wasn't allowed to leave the porch because of the rattle snakes which I used to think was unfair and ridiculous! All the other kids got to run & play, but me. Now I can see how a parent would be scared to death!
Sunday night we headed to Little Italy for my grandma's 91st Birthday dinner! We had reservations at Guarino's. Well at least we thought we did. When my cousin arrived with my grandma, they were told there were no reservations for us! Now I had just read a bunch of really not good reviews online about this place & I was worried before I even left, but I figured, we'll see what happens. A lot of the reviews said the service was awful, but besides the reservation snafu, everything was fine. Our server was really great & did a good job for our 10 person table. You should now that I thought it was pretty pricey for what we got. I also would not have taken my kids had it not been grandma's birthday. But she was happy they were there, so it was fine.
Onto the pictures!
The heat relented enough to sit outside on the patio.

Everyone
Onto my food. I got the simple angel hair with marinara.
Brian had lobster ravioli & gave me one. I should have ordered that-it was really good.
Dessert!
They all came back to my house for a bit & my sister stayed even later. We colored BabyGirl's hair pink like she wanted.
We may have gotten into the dye also. It was fun. I was obviously very tired. Yeah, tired-that's it. Haha.

I hope your weekend was fun filled as well!
