Happy Birthday to Brian!

Everyone gets this hung up for their birthday every year. I know, we're fancy.
We went to dinner finally at Der Braumeister!
Not pictured: D-somebody had to take it! By the way, this might be the worst picture we've ever taken.

What should we get?

BabyGirl already knew. D was focused. He worked all day outside and was starving.

Bubba got the potato pancake reuben-no kraut
D got the boston strip with mashed potatoes. He also finished BabyGirls' meal and Brian's. He would have eaten Bubba's but he was getting a box.
BabyGirl's chicken fingers & fries
Brian's goulash
My Maul Taschen-"Pasta pockets filled with spinach and goat cheese, topped with cauliflower sauce and sauteed organic vegetables"
So the dish I waited 2 months for. How was it? Eh. See the yellow pockets-those were delicious, very lemony, the white ones were ok too, but they were no yellow. And of course veggies are always great. Cauliflower sauce? Didn't taste like cauliflower. I probably wouldn't get it again, but I did clean my plate. I also had a glass of German Reisling. Those Germans know how to stomp grapes I tell ya.

We came back & my MIL & FIL came over for pie-the surprise dessert! I got Brian a Lemon Meringue pie from Grey House Pies. Brian loves Joe's pies. I know Joe because the pie shop happens to be right next to my office! It could be a problem, so I try to only see Joe at the Farmers Market. Where he always gives my daughter her daily allowance of sugar in the form of a giant brownie. Joe was a loan officer so he & I always have lots to chat about. His pies are made from all natural & organic ingredients, so you know I love him!
If you're in the area check him out. He didn't give me pie to say this, although I am certainly not above that. And actually I hate lemon desserts so I didn't even have any pie tonight. Now you know its just because he's a nice guy. Moving on.

I forgot to take a picture of the pie before it was nearly gone. Oops.
Bubba doesn't like to have his picture taken-is it obvious?

Brian got some clothes and his mother gave him a card making fun of vegetarians. She's hilarious, right?

BabyGirl made a guitar today at camp & accompanied on "Happy Birthday".

Happy Birthday to my favorite guy!
