Third~D working for a landscaper is going to work out just fine. Today he came home with TEN tomato plants. Beware-lots of tomato recipes are in my future. But I also want to preserve as many as I can for the winter. Not sure how yet, we shall see. (last year we had like 10 tomatoes, so I shouldn't get too ahead of myself)
Fourth~This is my big announcement! You may not think its big-but I certainly do. We are adding to our household this fall. Obviously I'm not pregnant (evidenced by my drinking). So who is it?
This is my grandma and she is pretty awesome. She turns 91 next month! She's not happy in her current home, so she's coming to live here with us! They boys are getting kicked out of their room & she's taking it over. I lived with her and my grandpa for awhile when I was young & I am more than happy to return the favor. Her mother lived with her, so when I was young I got to spend lots of time with my great-grandma. I'm glad my kids will have the same opportunity. She's really excited about it. I told her to look forward to breakfast & lunch on the deck with the birds and a big room to spread out in! Oh and if she shares some secret recipes, that would be ok with me too!
So what does that mean for the state of my unfinished house? Well, we are kicking it into high gear! We have to finish off the kitchen & remodel the main bathroom. Then we can paint her room & get her all moved in. And we have to get D situated into a new room & paint Bubba's cave, which will be his room until D goes off to college in (just) 2 years! Phew. I'm exhausted just thinking about it all!
And finally, to demonstrate her awesomeness, when I was telling her about my Rock on the Range trip with my sister, she asked if Metallica was there! I told you she was awesome.
