Judgments & soap boxes
Are you ever in the grocery line & your checker is a bit slow so you're just looking around and you happen to look to see what items the person behind is buying? Well, tonight I did. I hate to be so judgmental but the guy was overweight and was buying the worst garbage! All processed junk-sausage breakfast sandwiches, mac & cheese, chips, soda, lunch meat, and boxes of I don't know what as far as the eye could see. I thought I saw a yogurt in there, but I couldn't be sure. Not one vegetable, no produce bags. I wanted to say "OMG do you know what you're eating?" Listen, I am far from perfect and I try not to judge but geez. Its so hard. I just want to HELP! I have a feeling my 'helping' might have ended up with me needing bail money. So I looked the other way, paid for my items and left, kind of sad. But I couldn't have really done anything at the time anyway. Want to know what I was buying? Booze (me) and cigarettes (Brian). Oh and a box of frozen spinach & some kefir. What do you think he would have zoomed in on?
Its hard to be all up on your soapbox when its made from empty booze bottles.
